Holy Script For Sikhs

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal!

There are so many labels available for the holy script of Sikhs.

What is the original name of this sacred script given by the Gurus?

What made Sikhs to call the holy script with so many different names?

Please express your views.

Dear Singh Sahib,

As God is in all and also in scripts and sound,all is holy due to presence of God and we do not have God script dependant.

We have Farsi script also in Dasham Granth(origeojnal version) often beheld as Malecch Bhasha or Bhkhya.

and coming to Gurmukhi,it was erlier called Landa script used by most of the traders and is better than nagari as can be writtan faster.

Guru did use this script to defy the pseudo Brahmins propganda that Nagri(litteralo meamning urban0 is Dev(God's) Nagari.

Guru only wanted to preive that Landa can also be used to record the words of God and reading them can make us salvaged.

So only for Santhiya of correct Grameer that sounds are givne correctly so far by Ragis(singers of Bani) or Pathis(readers of Bani) that Gurmukhi is presefered.

There could be Beerh( copy) in Nagri also.Be it English,Sindhi or Urdu or Arebic ,if Santhia is told correctly we can have all scripts as holy.

No Guru but Akal only Guru,Akal only Satiguru of Ten Masters and all other Sikhs and devotees.and same Satiguru of us.And Avtar of that in this era is Khalsa,the Satiguru of Tenth Master.

Satsriakal to all and Vijaydeep Singh Ji!

People mention the name of the holy script for Sikhs differently.

Some of the popular variations are Maharaj, Guru Maharaj, Guru Granth, Sri Guru Granth, Adi Granth, Baba Ji, Baba Ji Dee Beerh, Guru's Deh (body) etc.

Does it show that the Guru is different or people perceive Him differently?

Are you sure that the Guru remains the same when translated in other languages?

They way you have your mind you are in that way described.

or As peole have thier mind so are you described.

There are tow interpetations and for for your great Level of enlighenment it should be first.

As God has infinite mind so Descriptoin of God is infinte.

So as God wants them to call God by difernt name so do people call God by that name.

here if we we use mercy for action ie Karam then we may find that mercy of God make us have name of god as God wants.

likewise due to Shlisht Alankar there coulb many meaning of one verse and with the spritual and intellecual level of mind we know the aporrpritate one.

but we must not take that Arya Samajis flithy uttrance that multi meaning means many fathers.

As thier single meaning of Veda was not the correct one so they had wrong one as thier father.

anyway our Father has mnay names and all name and all qultiies so one can have mnay neames and asect as being truth.Byt false father of satyrath Prakash was unfit to be the father at all.

God has infinite attributes, agreed.

The topic here is the variety of names of the holy scripture for Sikhs.

The Gurus had put a lot of efforts to save the holy scripture from any infiltration or changes.

How did it come that the holy scripture got so many changing names?

Is it not pity that Sikhs are incognizant of the original name of the holy scripture given by the Gurus?

Did the Gurus ever call the holy scripture with any of these present popular names?

Dear Singh Sahib,

Actual scripture is Gurbani and that is Satiguru,and Guru of First Master alsther name could be Sabad Guru.

If Sikhs call it by difernt Names and if more then Differnt names are given in scripture itslef thaen it is will of God only.God wants its verbal manfiestation to be called in differnt name and same has to happen.

So God wants them to know the scripturew by differnt names so does it comes.

Anyway to people who are not at your level.

Till Any of the Ten masters were thier name was Adi Guru Granth ie primal Guru is Sabad Guru.After Tenth Master only Guru Granth remains as no other guide is there in single form.

And body is Guru Panth.

Dwadash Swarop of Akal are prominnet as Guru,Ten Masters,Guru Panth and Guru Granth and all are Satigurus.

Gurbaanee is God's Baanee. God began with 'Aykankaar'.

What was before 'Aykankaar'?

There was nothing that mind can perceive. It is also not possible to express it in any form or language. It is also not possible to write it.

Title of a book is written before the books start.

There is no possibility to write a title before 'Aykankaar'.

The Gurus did not write any name or title to The Holy Scripture.

All the present popular names are out of love and respect for the practical reference.
