This is the Hindu point of view and not that of Sikhs. Sikhs had their own independent rule from 1800 to 1850 AD. They had their own Phulkian states until independence. They have fought the Mughals and later the Britishers for their independence. Tragedy was with Sikh leaders who could not project their case rightly, and Nehruji did not give sovereignty as promised. As far as Hindus are concerned, Sikhs will always remain their defenders and will allow no harm to them and will help them when in need; however, the recent wave started by some Hindu leaders that Sikhs are Hindus in order to assimilate them has not been liked and is creating a wedge between these two communities, which never was earlier. Since India is like a garden with trees and flowers of all kinds remaining together gleefully, let it remain as such.
You have cleverly highlighted political (separatist ) differences (typical macauliffe akali scholar explanations ) , but could not show any philosophical differences ..

Modern Sikhism functions increasingly as a political identity ,while its spiritual dimesion is overshadowed by anti -hindu rhetroic.. consequently ,geninue seekers find little inspiration from it

To be pro-Sikh is not necessarily to be anti-Hindu, it is astonishing you think people would fall for such ridiculous rhetoric.

But to say that there is no inspiration for seekers outside of the narrow frame of your frankly absurd opinion on what Sikhism is, actually does verge on true religious bigotry.

Side note, Sikhism has never in its history not had a political dimension. See Guru Nanak's Babar Vani. See Guru Hargobind's concept of Miri Piri. Did you think Guru Gobind Singh was not fully engaged in politics of the day? It is not a religion for renunciates, not least because it is not Hinduism.

How is all world religions connected to Hinduism
Is the entire world really at one point Hindu?

Sikhi

Sikh is obviously Hindu!
Sikhi Is BHAGWAN ki raksha! Waahe Guru.
In Hinduism there are many rukshas for Brahma, for Shiva for Vishnu for the mai's Parvati Mai.. ect.
Sikhi is BHAGWAN ki ruksha

Guru Nanak Dev ji Maharaj's family is Chand!
They are Kshatriyas! All Kshatriyas are from the blood of Sri Ram!!!

Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj in
Nitnem. Himself gives the reference of Gur meaning Guru To Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Parvati mai!!

How is Sikhs not Hindu???

Nitnem
Jap ji Sahib :4
gur eesar gur gorakh barmaa gur paarbatee maa-ee.

The Guru (God) Himself is Isar - Shiva – god of destruction; Gorakh - Vishnu –
god of provisions; Brahma - god of creation; and Parbati - wife of god Shiva.
(Just for the knowledge sake, Vishnu's wife is Lakhshmi and Brahma's is
Saraswati)

Greece
According to Greek mythology, Zeus became the supreme ruler by dethroning his father and superseding all his brothers. God Indra, too, usurped his father's throne. The primary weapon wielded by both Zeus and Indra is a thunderbolt called 'Vajra’ in Sanskrit. Both are said to have charmed the wives of other men by disguising as their husbands. They even share the key emotions of love, anger, and jealousy. Soma juice, which is loved by Indra, is said to provide immortality to the gods. On the other hand, Ambrosia, the Olympian gods' drink, is also said to bring immortality and long life. Additionally, both Indra and Zeus are associated with wisdom, power, and the trait of helping other gods in need. Furthermore, both are said to have the power to take different shapes. Agni and Vayu were the brothers of Indra, and Hades and Poseidon were of Zeus.
Although both of them possess similar characteristics, Lord Indra is described differently in the Vedas and Puranas. He is referred to as the most popular god in the Vedas, where he is portrayed as a courageous and noble god, whereas in the Puranas, he is known as an insecure god who is afraid to lose his throne and is lustful.

True ..But many kathavachak thrive on this narrative ..

You wont find any Hindu Guru or Sant or Pujari of Temple ,Math,Ashram speaking bad for any Sikh Gurus ,their Holy Scriptures or practices ...But many gianis and kathavachaks openly abuse hindu GODS ,practices and traditions .

But to say that there is no inspiration for seekers outside of the narrow frame of your frankly absurd opinion on what Sikhism is, actually does verge on true religious bigotry.
tell me what is sikhism is offering (Spiritual) to the world which is unique and not offered by Indic /Dharmic School of thought .White Sikhs are embracing Sikhi largely through Kundalini Yoga by Yogi bhajan which is pure Sanatani in its roots ..

Its just a reaction bounded in historic timeline .Nothing timeless in this .Todays challanges require lots of reform and new ideas which is not happening as the panth lacks self correcting mechanism. Just watch and listen to statements given by Akal Takht JAthedar (SikH POPE) , At World level this is just laughable and exposes intellectual bankruptcy
