Saadh Sangat ji,

Above shabad is just one example ( at Panna 180) , there are plenty of references in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji that ‘nothing..absolutley nothing’ a human being can do without Guru’s Kirpa. We are; what we are; because of Guru’s Kirpa. We can’t beg for Amrit; we can’t Naam Simar; we can’t keep Rehat; we can’t control trishna and we can’t even live day to day honest sikhi life w/o His kirpa.

Then what is the ‘prescription’ to get Guru’s Kirpa. Is there anything a human being can do to seek His Kirpa?

Dear Prabjyot kaur ji

What I know from experience is that what we can do is only ARDASS to akalprurakh and ask for anything like naam di daat , sikhi di daat etc etc and recently I read book on ARDASS by Sant Niranjan singh ji from malaysia and it was really very supportive of this importance of ARDASS in our life and is key to every thing

Important the above book Miracle of ardass is available free on the internet to any body so you can order right now!!!!:) :)

Thanks Dr. Khalsa. I knew that is the answer most Gursikhs will give. I will too if asked by someone. Now the question arises further - "if all is happening in His Hukum, can we even do Ardaas at our own?" There are days when I have complete Tihrwv inside and then there are days that I finish the whole Nitnem but AMdr dw Sor does not end.Why so ?

Gur Fateh Ji,

I am a chhoti mat da maalik but I can give my 2 cents here. Guru Sahib's kirpa is like the blessings we take from our mom dad before going for any exam/interview etc.., we pray before Guru Sahib to help us walk on the path of Truth, and only Truth- that involves leading a truthful life, honest endeavors and neevaan(humbleness). We can only do ardass in front of Guru Sahib to give us this blessing. Effort has to be done by ourselves. When we ask Guru sahib to save us from Vikaar, we have to do effort inside to keep ourselves away, and by the Kirpa of Guru we came to know the truth, we avoid them.

Hope it made some sense...
