Naam is not simply repeating a word it is losing ones self in that moment.
there is a story about hazrat sahab once Mohammad ji told one of his loyalist that if he would offer a namaz with all his attention hazrat sahab would gift him his personal prayer mat as a gift he was pleased to hear this he started the namaz after he was done he asked for his gift MD. ji asked him if he had payed full attention or not he said he had but he couldn't hide something from this man of God MD. ji replied you were thinking about something guess what he was thinking about the mat he wondered of what material it would be.contemplating on naam is very difficult and I'm not good at it.
