I have XP and Office 2003. I installed Home Publishing 2000, no problem. But
I cannot open the database in either 2000 or 2003. I get a window saying that
a problem has been encountered and it needs to close. How can I fix this?

Also, I've sent this question in before and now I can't find it to see if I
got an answer. Neither "subject" choices nor "In:" choices make much sense to
    me.

Microsoft Access and Microsoft Works are two quite different database
programs. Is this in fact a Works database? If so, you might do better
to scroll down the list of subjects on the left side of the page and
    find a newsgroup supporting Works.

The error message might be due to a damaged database, or (if you're
lucky) may just be a problem with the installation of Works. You might
want to be sure you have your Works software CD, and use Start...
Control Panel... Add and Remove Programs to completely uninstall
    Works, and then reinstall it.
