Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal!

Dear seekers and those who have achieved Truth!
I have a question.

Why Japuji Sahib has thirty-eight Pauris (38 Stanzas)? Please share your thoughts and knowledge with all.

Satsriakal to all and Vijaydeep Singh Ji!

Sometimes we come across a situation in life where there is totally black out. We just don't find an answer.

I have heard we are with God when our ego turns blank.

Please be with God and ponder over it. The answer may be in God's Baanee.

Daer Balbir Singh ji

As you asked in first post the answer from the who have achieved truth
and in second post the one who are in touch with god

But as far as I am concerned Akal has not blessed to the point you asked for but even then i tried to think of reason from my own understanding but everytime the things that i have read in books and other places just flashed in my mind but nothing new or original came to me

as i have read and understood the Japuji sahib guide the seeker progressively from start and ends up in sachkhand or truth but still i cant think of why this no 38

may be you can put more light on it

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal!

Dear all!

All belongs to God. Also, that feels mine.

It starts to flow when He wants to share.

He has chosen me as His tool not hurdle.

You may possess the Truth or pass it on.

Satsriakal Aman Singh Ji!

Surprising is that your observation is fascinating. You could not understand much from the interpretation though.

Clouds get ready to rain when the earth becomes thirsty enough.

Please search for the true Simran. The endless Truth is to wonder.

All other chats are empty and give birth to new questions.

Whatever God wants me to share, it will be shared.

Vaahiguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa! Vaahiguroo Jee Kee Fateh!

Sometimes, we search for meanings which will help us in no way whatsoever.

Sometimes, we search for meanings that don't exist.

Sometimes, we just need to focus on the arthh of the Baani itself, rather than its numeric significance.

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal!

But rarely we listen and wonder. God is talking to us.

--------------

TeraRoop11 Ji!

May I ask why our preachers instruct us to count the number of Paaths and give examples of those who have done more than a hundred Paaths of, for example, Japuji Sahib every day?

A day has twenty-four hours. The recitation of the Japuji Sahib needs around twenty to thirty minutes.

A person may do forty-eight to sixty Paaths of Japuji Sahib without a pause each day.

It is strange that some persons can do more than a hundred Paaths of Japuji every day as per our learned preachers.

I am surprised when they do Paaths of other Baanees.

--------------

I do not know why God blessed me with the wisdom of those Sounds.

Perhaps God entangles everyone with numbers, the way HE loves it.

Respected Bhai Sahib Ji
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh
May I request you to not to run after the numbers? This is clearly contradicted and told as unwanted in the Pauri No. 33 in Japu Ji Sahib.
Please try to understand the message being conveyed.
Yes, Guru Sahibs, did follow some traditions being followed at that time. i.e. Mool Mantar, Salok (Mangla charan), 38 Pauries, Salok (Conclusion).
But nowhere it is mentioned that this is Mool Mantar etc. In Sikhism there is nothing like Mantar or Mool Mantar. For a Sikh whole Guru Granth Sahib is Mantar.
Basic abstract of Guru Granth Sahib is present in Japu Ji Sahib. Many an aspects of life have been discussed. That total might have become as 38. Or there can be other reasons known to Guru Sahibs only. We should not try to find out the faults or to go for funny numbers, which got generated because of our own superstitions.
Guru Sahib’s wanted to keep us away from those.
Please try to follow the path being shown by Guru Granth Sahib and not try to spend time on these minor and unwanted things.

Satsriakal to all and Dr. Sarbjit Singh Ji!

You wrote "In Sikhism there is nothing like Mantar or Mool Mantar."
And in the following sentence you continued with "For a Sikh whole Guru Granth Sahib is Mantar."

Have I understood you correctly? Guru Granth Sahib is Mantar but in Sikhism there is nothing like Mantar or Mool Mantar.

May I ask what Shabads like 'Gurmantra' (p 321), 'Beej Mantra'(p 974) or 'Mool Mantra'(p 1040) in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji indicate?

Please do not get disturbed. Our mind has always tried to fix us in a frame.

I requested all to go through Godly Attributes.

Why are you still hanging on counting numbers?

Please go through the article again. I suggested reading.

There are not only numbers mentioned.

Love.
