    Hi.
Could someone please tell me how to remove all user security on an access
    file?
    This is what happened.
I wanted to remove the security warning when starting my database and in a
lapse of concentration instead of Macro>Security, I set off the security
wizard, and was left unable to open my file. I am the only user on this
machine and so am administrator. So it was so annoying that if I was the one
who set the permission, and I'm logged on, why couldn't I just open the pexy
    file?

Anyhow after ages searching in Help I was able to open the file by pointing
to the security file that was setup by the wizard and then, the ONLY thing I
found of any use was to set Full permission in User/ Group permission, on
    myself. sigh???
BTW; Is there just one overall box to check? I had to go to all the various
objects and check, administer on each one.
Anyhow now I can open the file but I get my id and a password window, but of
course I didn't set any password so I click OK and all's well. But I don't
    want that password window.
Please can someone tell me how I can remove EVERYTHING so that this file
    opens normally.
    Thank you
    J

I suggest you start by reading

Access security is a great feature, but it is, by nature a complex product
with a very steep learning curve. Properly used it offers very safe
versatile protection and control. However a simple mistake can easily lock
you out of your database, which might require the paid services of a
professional to help you get back in.

Practice on some copies to make sure you know what you are doing.
