User prompt for date range

    How can I add to a query a user prompt to enter a date range for a date field?

    In the Criteria under that date field put...

    Between [Enter Start Date] and [Enter Stop Date]

    To add a pop up, use this syntax in the criteria for the field: [Enter
    Message Here]. For a date range: BETWEEN [BEGIN DATE] AND [END DATE]...this
    will actually display two prompts, one after the other.

    DV,

    Prompting users for date criteria tends to be inflexible and confusing.
    I think it is better to have a couple of unbound textboxes on a form
    which is open at the time, and then reference these textboxes in the
    criteria of the query, using syntax such as...
    Between [Forms]![NameOfForm]![1stTextbox] And
    [Forms]![NameOfForm]![2ndTextbox]
