subj pretty well says it all. I tried to download a template for my music CD
collection labeled, 'Music collection database.' Got an error message Access
2000 not found. Well no, because I'm using Access 2003.

    thnx

It is unlikely that anyone at Microsoft will be updating the templates for
A2003, as they are working on a slew of new templates for Access 2007.

If you can download the A2000 template to your computer, it will work with
    A2003 anyway.

Try using a rightclick with the mouse and savelink as.

Once it is downloaded, there is no problem opening it with 2003.

Re: update Access templates to work with Access 2003 not just 2000

    thnx, that answers my point.

The problem is/was that it won't even allow me to download since I do not
have A2000, just A2003. Weird, but that's microsoft for you.

    thnx again

Re: update Access templates to work with Access 2003 not just 2000

Try again but on the next page

When you get the page that says:

    Access 2000 Not found

Go down lower on that page and you will find the following:

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    To download the template manually:

    Click Download Now below.
In the File Download dialog box, click Save.
Select the folder where you want to save the compressed file (.CAB),
    and then click Save.
Open the folder where you saved the compressed file, and then
    double-click the file.
Use one of the following methods to extract the template from the
    compressed file:
If the file opens in WinZip® or another decompression program, use the
program to extract the template from the compressed file. After
extracting the file, you can double-click the template to open it in
the program it was designed for.
If the compressed file opens in a regular window, double-click the
template file, select the folder where you want to save the template,
and then click Extract. Now locate the folder in which you saved the
uncompressed template, and then double-click the template to open it.
