I am trying to assist someone who just got a new system with Office
2003. They have a custom database that was written several years ago by
someone who is no longer around. Whenever they try using the report
function built into the database they get an error.

Does MS provide tools to unlock a mde database??

    thanks!

    No, they don't.

I do know of one firm that claims they can do it. See point 2 in
