ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji describe the importance of company of the pious and the futility of denigrating the pious. Salvation comes in the company and restless transformations follow ill will towards the pious.

Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 13, 4th sabad describe the lack of virtues shown by hurtful of the pious. Such driven by impure thoughts and lack friends, pays for bad deeds and is abandoned by all, driven by ego pursues bad deeds, finds no comfort and is in perpetual birth and death cycle.

Guru ji conclude that even though one hurtful of the pious has no place, if the virtuous pious so wish, such may still find reconciliation.

NOTE: There is marvelous use of metaphors in this sabad to address and convey the audience of the Guru ji's times. It is a dis-service to turn these around as though Guru ji imply belief in any subject(s) of metaphors.
Please note all errors are mine and I stand corrected.
