    I have created two subforms and linked them to the main form. One of the
    subforms is for data entry of new data and the other is a query of the table
    sorted by date. When I enter new data the query data is not updating on real
    time, and I need to exit the form and reopen the form for update. Any idea
    how I can fix this issue; detail codes are appreciated since I am new.

    Thanks

    Hi Saied

    Open the form in design view and click the text box that will be updated
    (data added to) on the properties box select data and "onchange". Right
    click and use the code builder.
    Insert something like

    Private Sub NameOfControl_Change()
    On Error GoTo NameOfControl_Change_Err

    DoCmd.Requery ""

    NameOfControl_Change_Exit:

    Exit Sub

    You will need to change the control name to the one you have used on your
    form, hope this helps
