site inventory

    Is there a way to calculate the total items in a (text) field...

    Example. I am doing a site inventory. I have a dropdown box of various
    office supplies (such as chair). I want to be able to break down how many
    chairs from a certain office.

    Is there a calculation that will allow me to do this?

    Maybe you should give is an example of that text field.
