Damn, that's nice to hear :)

"In 2003, this daughter of a Jat Sikh grape grower faced the ire of white supremacists, who posted spam emails terming her recruitment as a means to seek citizenship. But she was already a US citizen, and the young girl set about proving her detractors wrong through hard training."

Was it really necessary to label her a jatti as well?

Still Sikhs are not allowed to join US Army as beard and turban not allowed.

That's not necessary true....Have you ever heard an American Sikh solider name Bhagat Singh Thind?

Here’s a picture of Bhagat Singh Thind:

"Bhagat Singh Thind, a native of Punjab entered the United States in 1912. Thind was attending college and working in a lumber mill when he was inducted into the US army. He was honorably discharged from the army on 16th December 1918. In 1920 Thind applied for citizenship which was granted to him in Oregon by the district court. A naturalization examiner objected to the court's decision and sought for Thind's citizenship cancellation on the grounds that Thind was not white. An appeal was taken to the "Ninth circuit court of appeals" and the U.S. Supreme Court decided against granting Naturalization to Thind on February 10th 1923. It was a landmark decision in United States Vs Bhagat Singh Thind. "

after an act in 1984 which was forcefully implimanted during 1986,Sikhs or anyother person with outwards religeon symbol is not allowed in US Army.

Some people have even removed thier marks to get into that force. But only Sikhs still serving in US Army are those who were recruted before 1984 as that l;aw does not bounds them eg Dr Sekhon.

    We need to do something.

Das request moderators or admin ji to give link to thatg thread started by DR Khalsa Ji,where we discuused this issue and Das's letter to President Bush in this matter is also there.
