Translation:

[Everyone belongs to the One who rules the Kingdom. Gurmukh’s deeds are such that Lord dwells up in his mind. They become like the One that abides in them.]

He is the Supreme authority and everything belongs to Him. Entire creation is His kingdom and he alone rules through His will as is reflected in the Hukum that governs the entire creation;its evolution and progression. The Gurmukhs deeds are appreciated and the Lord wells up in the mind of Gurmukhs. They are truly like the True One in whose mind the One abides. Having met the True One they are never separated and dwell in the self in balanced restraint.[At another place in Bani Guru Sahib further states: ‘How can honor be attained in His Court, if the Lord does not dwell in the mind?21-15 SGGS]

[In another sabad Guru sahibs have confirmed this by stating that ‘ the Lord is revealed through the Gurmukh, the Living Expression of the Guru's Word.’[Jan Nanak Gurmukh Pargat hoye-12-2 SGGS ] and One who attains perfection as Gurmukh, obtains the Immeasurable True Lord.[Gurmukh Poora je karey Paiye Sach Atool-17-11 SGGS ] There are many lines that speak of Gurmukh and his chief traits and general spiritual personality.]

Translation:
[There is no support except HIM. Meeting with the Immaculate is possible through the Guru Sabad]

The devotees of Lord seek the support in Him; as for them there is none like HIM. It is through the teachings as contained in the Guru- Sabad/Guru Vaaks/Bani that one gets chance to meet the His Majesty, the Supremus who is self-existent all pervasive and beyond the measure of time and joonie. [In nutshell it is by being attuned to the Shabad that such an honor is obtained by the seekers.]

Translation:
[He, as it pleases Him, meets those who are attuned to the sabad. In duality, it is not possible and instead one is subjected to the cycle of reincarnation. He is present in everyone. But only those get the chance to meet Him on who He casts His mercy.]

The subject matter that is important here is the term ‘Duality’ that does not find sufficient explanation and one misses the essence. The duality can be of many types. I am giving below as an example the meaning of the term Duality/ Dualism for further examination and discussion.

1] Shiva and Shakti
2] Maya Based Duality

Shiva and Shakti: Model is Helpful in understanding Dualism and duality

As per one school of thoughts the entire creation is His and he is present in it.The Purusha, Supreme consciousness, engulfs its creation. As per this school of thought, though he is present in the form of consciousness and the creation in the form of matter and energy, He is separate form the Creation. No soul can merge into the Nirakkar Purusha.

But as per second school of thought there is the Supreme One, the Purusha, who is formless (Niraakaar or Nirguna), and there is His creation, but in essence both are the same. Any person’s soul can unite with Him, indeed the soul is the same in every one, and the Atman and Brahman are the same. According to this school of thought every soul can get merged into the Purusha. To my understanding Guru Nanak’s model of the Creator and the Creation is based upon the second school of thought also called as Non-Dualist approach i.e. each and every soul can merge with the supreme consciousness subject to the fulfillment of conditions as contained in the scripture. Stated other-wise the Shiva and shakti are the same and as per Sikhism and its philosophy one can meet the Lord.[(21-4, sriraag M-1]

This concept is absent in the former approach where one can’t meet the Purusha or the Brahm. This format has the sarguna form of the Brahm as well.

Maya Based Duality

The scriptures have many references to Duality that is based on Maya and it is referred to as Dujje Bhaye or duvidha [to be ascertained after contextual analysis] Guru sahibs have stressed upon that one who is in the grip of Maya is in the state of duality and cannot reach the higher spiritual stages. It is through the Non-maya state that one can achieve the higher spiritual stages and can meet the ‘Purusha’.

Thus a seeker in the ‘Mayavic’ state is stated to be in duality and have no chance of realizing the Brahm, the supreme Soul i.e. Nirankaar.
There can be other forms of duality as well.

Translation:
[The Pandits and astrologers read the Vedas and shastras and get involved in arguments as they have the greed and their intellect does not understand the reality. They are subjected to the cycle of 84 Lakh joonies as per the earlier karama that cannot be erased.]

This part of the shabad brings forward the lacuna in the system then prevailing i.e.The pandits, instead of gaining the spiritual knowledge from the Sastras and Vedas, get entrapped in arguments and fruitless discussions and they do not understand the reality on account of the effect of the Maya due to the greed for it. They are subjected to the Karmas in this life as pre the pre-ordained destiny that cannot be erased. In these ‘tuks’ Guru Sahib has tried to portray the state of affairs of those who have not left the Maya as the ‘Gurmukh’ has done, as stated in earlier paras. Thus excessive information without knowledge and wisdom leads one no-where except the dead end of 84 lakh joonies.

Translation:
[The service of Lord is very difficult as one has to cast off ego and chopp of one’s head. It is by getting attuned to the Sabad/Bani that one may get the chance of finding Him and one’s Jot merges with the supreme jot. But He is realized by only those who has such a pre-ordained destiny.]

Continuing with the earlier thoughts Guru Sahib, in reflection, state that it is very difficult to serve the Lord as one has to cast off ego, that is stated to be a veil between the individual’s consciousness and the supreme consciousness. Once the ego is removed the veil in between the individual’s consciousness and the supreme consciousness gets removed through the constant devotion that is possible only if one has the Love of Lord. The devotion is, in turn, dependent upon the virtues that a seeker must have. [Without virtue, there is no devotional worship: Bin Gun kete Bhagat Na Hoye 4-15 SGGS] It is through this mechanism that the individual meets the Brahm/The Nirankar. However, this can be achieved only if it is pre-ordained. Thus pre-ordained destiny that is the outcome of our past Karmas get manifested in this process of the merger of the two consciousness.

In nut- shell one has to be out of the effects of Maya and ego both and seek His blessings for both.

Translation:
[The mind should be free of desires. One who has created 84 Lakh Joonies/Lives, takes care of all. The Fearless Lord sustains all. Gurmukh understand this and finds liberation. Or By becoming Gurmukh one understands this and finds Moksha.]

Mind, the key element, has to be subdued so that it reaches the stage where the yearning for desires comes to halt. [At another place Guru Sahib have stated :Conquer your own mind, and conquer the world :Man Jete Jag Jeet 6-15 SGGS and Why, O mind, do you plot and plan, when the Dear Lord Himself provides for your care?: Kahe re Man Chitveh Udam Ja Ahar Har Jeo Paria6-1-9 SGGS]

The Creator takes care of all the 8.4 million type of lives. The Fearless is kind and sustains all. Gurmukh develops the understanding and finds liberation.
