setting up a database via a intranet site?

    Iam looking for a way to capture sales data from various locations around the
    uk, where the common communication channel used is an internal intranet site.
    Is it possible to create an access database with an input form on the
    intranet site, or does anyone have any suggestions as to an alternative.
