I didn't have much luck in another newsgroup so here it is again..

Having lent money to relatives over the years, they are now going
start paying it back. I have the loan data in spreadsheets. Is there a
    sample
database out there where I can import the spreadsheet data and get a
database going pretty quickly to track the payments? This can be fairly
simple, where I can report how much they owe, and how much is paid back at
any given time. I don't even charge interest because it is family!

    Thanks

This should'nt be that hard to create...How much information is in the excell
    spreadsheets?

when you import the spreadsheets into access they are the same thing as
tables, then you can use the database wizard to create forms to input more
    data into.

The spreadsheets are a bit of a mess, one per relative but all of a
differernt structure, with several sheets, lots of summaries; the kind of
stuff you do in Access by running reports. Another person suggested the
sample Ledgers database which seems to be a good start start. I find the
table design and queries easy, but without a creative artistic streak in my
body find that other people create much better looking GUIs!

    Thanks,
    Mich
