    Hello,

    I have a field thats called Internal ID# and the data on that field goes
    something like this "ECO00XXBL". Now each character represents something in
    the database. How do i pull data for example if i wanted to query accounts
    that belongs to the internal id# of "BL". I dont know if that makes much
    sense. Also if I wanted to do multiple selection for example i wanted to
    query data from the ECO00XXBL but i only want data from COXX. Again I dont
    know if this makes much sense, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Like "*BL" in the criteria will get all ending in BL, "*BL*" will get all
    with BL anywhere in it.
    To get one that is from ECO00XXBL and has any digits in place of XX use Like
    "ECO00##BL"
    If you want to be able to enter the criteria you can use something similar to
    Like "*" &[Enter the first three letters of the ID] & "00" & [Enter the sixth
    and seventh digits] & "BL".

    Thanks for the example. Im trying to run a parameter query using the
    following criterea.
    Like "*" & [Select Processor] & [Enter Portfolio] & [ Enter Agent Code]
    & [Enter Referral] & [Enter RM]

    E=processor, CO=portfolio, 000=agent code, XX=Referral, BL=RM

    but nothing is coming out. Any idea why? Im sure its how my criterea
    is typed up.
    Any help would be great.

    It should work.
    If you are entering all of the parts, you don't need the Like "*" & but
    having it in there shouldn't matter. What do you get if you place ECO000XXBL
    in the criteria?
    If you don't get anything when you do this then you don't have any data that
    matches that criteria be sure that you. Are you sure that the agent code is
    000 and not 00 as it was in your original post. That would cause it to not
    return any results.
    Also, make sure that zeroes are where they should be and letter o's are where
    they should be .
