Are there any places to look at shortening time for the formatting of a
report? I have several reports, that redevelopment has caused them to slow
to about 30 seconds, before they are available. During this formatting time,
    the db is unresponsive.

    Thanks, in advance.

Simplify the formatting required, and visit Tony Toews' site
http://www.granite.ab.ca/accsmstr.htm for other performance hints (many of
which are general enough that they may help Reports, too). On the other
hand, consider how much work has to be done to format the Report -- if you
have lots of records, multiple Subreports, lots of calculations, and/or
complex Queries, it is likely to be slower than you'd prefer.
