First thanks for your time reading this,

I have a search form to find items on a subform of my main form. Right now
I have it set to onDoubleClick to open the form to the record with where
condition equals PID. Is there a way to open to the record but not have it
    filtered as 1 of 1?

Yes, you can set the focus to the field that contains the value that you are
going to use to locate the desired record. Then use:

    docmd.findrecord TheValueYouWantToFind

Where the "TheValueYouWantToFind" is, replae it with the value you are
looking for in the table. This will move you to the first record that
matched the value you provide for the "TheValueYouWantToFind"

Take a look in VBA Help for "FindRecord".
