Navaratri Specials at Temple of Fine Arts, Brickfields. Kuala Lumpur . Malaysia

Everyday for 9 days between 27th September and 5th October, come to
Temple of Fine Arts and enter a color full and delightful world of
ancient Vedic Fire sacrifice, songs, music and dance, magnificent
artifacts and delicious food.

In conjunction with the auspicious festivals of Navarathri, The
Temple of Fine Arts presents DANCE INDIA TASTE INDIA, an extravaganza
of culture, cuisine and craft.

DANCE INDIA TASTE INDIA is yet another inspired idea to create a
greater awareness of the ancient and rich heritage to which we
belong. It flows like an unending river of beauty and light bringing
joy to all who come to its banks.

Invoking the Grace of the Divine Mother
The Temple would like to invite you to experience the ancient Vedic
ritual of the homam or fire sacrifice. Special mantras are chanted as
we offer different types of grains into the fire, invoking the grace
and blessings of the Divine Mother. The Vibrations generated from
this early morning ritual is beneficial to all.

The Vibrant Colors of Dance and Music
Starting from 7.30pm, the Temple of Fine Arts presents its students
as well as its senior performers in a joyous celebration of dance and
music. You will witness the very young take their first basic steps
in dance as well as be amazed by the passion and power of the senior
performers of the institution. Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kathak, folk
dance and even contemporary dance!
Music from both North and South India. Contemporary Indian Music and
some of the best voices in bhajan and Hindustani music you could ever
hear. And there may be a few surprises from our non-Indian friends in
the performing arts! There is no charge for the performances.

The Poetic Passion of Artisans
Even as you enter, things of beauty will catch your eye. Dance India
taste India is also an exhibition of artifacts. Watch and learn how
artisan create from an artiste heritage passed down from generations
to generations: Ikat/Pua Weaving, Stone carving; Tyedyeing, Zari
work; Embroidery; Silver filigree work. These will be on display and
technique demonstrations presented as specific times during the
festivals. Make your selection from traditional attire created by
Shivanjali Creations, furnishing, furniture, artifacts, and unique
gift ideas. It's a wide range of beautiful things that will make
a
difference to your living space. Everything is created from nature

earth, stone, metal, wood and fiber.

Tastes and Flavors you will never forget
As the tradition at the Temple of Fine Arts, our grandmother and
mothers love to cook for all who come to us. A whole range of Indian
vegetarian delights awaits you. Meals, snacks, desserts and
specialties from both the North and the South will be offered
everyday for lunch, tea and dinner. And it is the same unique concept
as in Annalakshmi, "Eat-as-You-Wish-Give-as-You-Wish!"
