It must be margins, or page size, or...? Thanks!

If the report and margins is larger than the page, that will happen.

What is the width of your detail section? Add the margins to that. If it
is larger than the sheet of paper, then it will force a page.

Either reduce the margins, reduce the detail section, or select wider paper
    or orientation.

Thanks for the quick response, Rick B.
I've checked the margins, etc. my header is 1" x 7.5" and the detail is 8"
x 7.5". There is no footer, and the margins for the page are set at 0.5"
Everything adds up to less that 8.5" x 11", but it's still printing two pages.

    Any other suggestions?

There might be a twip or two consumed between sections. Try making either
section a bit smaller so you are not adding up exactly to 11 inches on the
    height.

Your detail is 8" wide and your margins are .5" each? That adds up to 9".
    Your paper is only 8.5".

You need to reduce your detail width by .5 inches or make your margins .25
    each.
