Thanks to all who peruse this question!

    Conditions:

Company I work for is CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!

Yesterday, we finally upgraded our PC's from P-III's running Win. NT
4.0 to some 3 year old cast-offs out of our engineering dept. which is
1000 miles distant. New machines are P-IV's running XP-Pro.

We decided to use one of the old machines as a local file server. This
particular machine has ACCESS on it, version: Access 97, SR-1.

Problem: Our local office no longer have the original floppy's for the
LEGAL version we own and we need to move Access and all of it's files
off the old machine onto one of the new machines.

If this is impossible and it sucks to be me, then I can live with that,
however if there is an avenue for this type of move I would appreciate
it greatly if someone could clue me in...

    Thanks!
    scj

Without manually recreating all of the registry entries (there's a BUNCH of
them), you'll need the disks. In addition to the registry entries, there are
files scattered in multiple directories, not just the files in the Microsoft
Office directory. So, basically, the answer is No, you'll need the or a
    backup copy of the disks.
