    Waheguru ji ka khalsa
    Waheguru ji ki fateh

    ਮ:
    Mehlā 1.
    First Mehl:

Bẖand jammīai bẖand nimmīai bẖand mangaṇ vīāhu.
From woman, man is born; within woman, man is conceived; to woman he is engaged and married.

Bẖandahu hovai ḏosṯī bẖandahu cẖalai rāhu.
Woman becomes his friend; through woman, the future generations come.

Bẖand muā bẖand bẖālīai bẖand hovai banḏẖān.
When his woman dies, he seeks another woman; to woman he is bound.

So kio manḏā ākẖīai jiṯ jameh rājān.
So why call her bad? From her, kings are born.

Bẖandahu hī bẖand ūpjai bẖandai bājẖ na koė.
From woman, woman is born; without woman, there would be no one at all.

Nānak bẖandai bāhrā ėko sacẖā soė.
O Nanak, only the True Lord is without a woman.

Jiṯ mukẖ saḏā salāhīai bẖāgā raṯī cẖār.
That mouth which praises the Lord continually is blessed and beautiful.

Nānak ṯė mukẖ ūjlė ṯiṯ sacẖai ḏarbār. ||2||
O Nanak, those faces shall be radiant in the Court of the True Lord. ||2||

    Strength

    A classmate asked me once,
    "What religion are you?"
    I proudly replied,
    "SIKH"
    She went on to say,
"Oh, I've heard of the Sikhs.
You know the most striking thing about
you guys is the remarkable inner
    strength that you all have."
That strength is tested every day throughout a person's life.
It's very easy to go with the current of a river and yield to the pressures of society.
But, it's remarkable to go against the current.
Though you may feel alone when you're born, while you're living and again when you die
You're not because there is always a being watching, protecting and helping you.
Waheguru (God) loves and protects you and most of all gives you the strength needed to swim upriver.

How much being a mom should pay
    Tuesday, May 6th 2008, 4:00 AM

MomConnection asked 970 women to break down the details of their typical day. The survey found:

Moms: They spend an average of 3 hours, 24 minutes on "one-on-one time" with their kids, playing games, getting them dressed and helping with homework.

The Pros: A professional NYC nanny would gross $49.98 for the same amount of work, based on the average $14.70 hourly wage.

Moms: Two hours are devoted to cleaning house and 1 hour, 36 minutes to cooking.

The Pros: A city housekeeper would make a total $22.60 at the average hourly cleaning rate of $11.30, and a head chef would earn $68.03 based on the typical $42.52 hourly wage.

Moms: Errands, such as shopping and fetching laundry, take up 1 hour, 36 minutes.

The Pros: A mom would be entitled to a further $33.60, based on the $21 average hourly rate earned by socalled "mystery" or paid shoppers.

Moms: One hour is spent driving kids to and from school and other destinations.

The Pros: If she were a New York City cabbie, Mom would earn $15.20 for the same hour's work.

    GRAND TOTAL SALARY: $69,135

    ... and no days off.

Moms only escape the working day during the average 48 minutes they spend on themselves, whether it's reading, exercising or taking a shower. They devote 1 hour, 12 minutes exclusively to their husbands and 26 minutes to socializing with friends.
