The controls are sitting on the form instead of on the page of the tab
    control.

    1. Select the problem control.
    2. Cut (Ctrl+X.)
    3. Select the tab you want the control on.
    4. Paste (Ctrl+V.)

See the article 'Using the tab control on a form' at the following URL ...

In particular, see the sections 'Adding a bound control to a tab' and
'Adding tabs to an existing form'.

Thanks ive read the articles but still think its not quite what im after,
also please excuse me if my terminology isnt right.

When i insert a new page the controls appear on that tab. So how do i move
the controls from the Form and onto a Page.

I have tried cutting and pasting but im obviously not doing something right.
I have also removed all the other tabs except for the 1st. i then cut and
pasted into into a new tab /page but they appeared on both again

    thanks
