I am writing a paper for school and i got the floppy disk from school with
all my work on it when I try to open it at home, a box comes up and says that
the disk I'm trying to open is not formatted or formatted for a Macintosh. I
need help and I don't know how to open the floppy disk. Someone else said the
disk might be damaged and I could still get the information from it as long
as I didn't format it. They said it takes difficult software to retrieve the
    information.

Macintosh and Windows disks cannot be read by one another. Your question may
be better answered in a newsgroup appropriate to your problem. This
newsgroup is dedicated to the Microsoft Access database product. The
Microsoft website is not all that clear and may have misdirected you.
