How to keep OLE object names from changing case?

I have a database where I'm inserting shortcuts to files as OLE objects.
When I do this, the database changes the names of the files to all lowercase.
Initially, this isn't a big deal, but if I use the shortcut to open the
file, make changes, and then save again, the original file name changes to
all lowercase as well. I personally don't care, but my manager is very picky
about this. Is there a setting that will keep this from happening? I've
tried changing the name of the shortcut, but that doesn't help.

BTW, I'm using Access 97 (yes, my employer needs to update...)
