How do I unlock a document so I can add to it?

    I wish to edit a document which exists in office> It is apparently locked. I
    have to free Office program

    Your use of the word "document" implies that you're talking about using
    Word. If that's the case, you'd be better off asking in a newsgroup that's
    related to Word.

    This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
    part of Office Professional.
