I have a project do at work, where I was asked to take a file from one
location and bring it up in Access, but the user has to be able to open it
and edit the file... how would I go about doing this??

Not sure what you are asking. What type of "file"? Is it an access
    database file?

What "location"? Is it a drive the user has access to?

Has the user tried to double-click the file (which will open it in Access if
it is a database), edit it, then save it?
