Every Morning on Live TV I see how the so called sevadaars of SGPC mistreat the ordinary sevaks who visit Harmandar Sahib...its these people who FILL the GOLUCKS...yet they dont even get place to sit for a while...and those Bollywood stars and all those..get VIP treatment..security..etc etc..all of which is PAID FOR FROM THE GOLUCK....contributed by the POOR DEVOTEES !! who dont get @security@ or peace or dignity..BUT THAKKEY..Push and Shove !!
The GURU welcomed people who were ashamed of the Futtee Kaudde they brought..and tried to avoid showing Guru Ji how poor they were...BUT the Sacha Patshah..the TRUE GURU SAW the Vast WEALTH they had in their HEARTS..and stepped down form his Palki/Palngh/Throne to welcome and hug such sikhs....TODAY the Guurus THRONE is occupied by MASANDS..the GREEDY POLITICIANS...who see only @RICH@ wealthy..stars..bollywood..zeetv..Prime Ministers..and Badals...who actually DONT Matha TEK even a Futtee Kauddee !!! The True DEVOTEES are Herded like COWS..and kept behind LINES of POLICE..while the Rich and famous pay respects to the Guru !! and who dont want any Degh or langgar on the Floor !! ( What ?? dirty their hands with oily ghee..and break the creases in their pants by sitting on the thappars lying around ??) THOSE Thappars are for @devotees@ who matha tek MILLIONS..collectively..so the Politicians can MISUSE to BUY POWER to push them around !!!

The QUEEN refused to @unsock@...GOOD FOR HER...becasue the Akal Takhat Jathedar..VEDANTI...quickly and quietly TOOK OFF HIS KIRPAN..when so ordered by an ordinary Malay GUARD at a Public Building in Kuala Lumpur !! Local Sikhs accompanying Vedanti had gone off looking for a senior officer to Explain Maryada of Kirpan and how this man was our Pope and All..and the Senior Officer agreed to come along and tell his Guard to allow the Kirpan...BUT lo and Behold..the POPE had already removed it and deposited it with the Guardhouse so he wouldnt miss the TOUR !!

It was with great fanfare that Prime Minister Harper announced his impending visit to India to promote trade with this elephantine economy. He also indulged in inconsequential actions in order to pander to the Canadians of Indian origin by visiting a TV reality show and having a photo op with an Indian Bollywood actor.
Is the visit successful? Notwithstanding the official statements that more often than not indulge in hype, the reality is sobering. The hope to cash in on the growing epidemic of supplying nuclear technology or equipment or services still remains a hope , a mirage, not a realisable dream. We missed the bussed which was boarded by the French, the Americans and the Russians. We were hide-bound by our high faultin concepts and being nearly blinded by our notions, we did not seize the opportunity and now Indians possibly do not need us.
Most world leaders visit other nations in the interest of doing business, while taking advantage of photo-ops. For Harper this trip is about going for photo-ops while taking a few moments to conduct business. His real purpose was to build bridges with the Canadian voters of Indian origin. And master strategist that he is, he made multi pronged attack. To build a bridge with masses, he made a journey to Bollywood, had a photo op with the supposed Icons, invited an action hero to Canada to participate in Olympic torch relay, and visited a TV reality show. WOW – murmured the people, Harper really is Indian in his basic instincts. But do all these Ohs and Ahas translate into votes. Only time will tell.
His next trip to the Hindu temple in Delhi was a trip to this vast temple complex where he was greeted not by a frenzy of people, but by empty colonnades. It was a purely ceremonial trip. Earlier he had also visited the Jewish place where the terrorists had killed innocent Jews.
His penultimate trip was to Amritsar where he visited the Golden temple. It was a chaotic visit, quite a contrast to the orderly visit to Delhi Temple. Here he was prevailed upon to be a spokesperson of the Sikhs and help protect the usage of turban.
He left out the Muslim community and the reason for this omission is that there is hardly any riding where Muslims votes can sway the results. These visits to Bollywood and diverse religious places were a visible attempt to woo the voters of these denominations. But I have my reservations. There is no harm in such symbolic visits, but the effect is going to be minimal. The Sikh temples in Canada are still the hotbeds of Sikh militants and in case he decides to continue the pilgrimage, it shall send a wrong message to others. Even the visit of Punjab Chief Minister to a Dixie Temple was frowned upon in India.
Moreover, the community might be temporarily influenced by such actions, but there is no lasting effect. The people are more impressed by actual work done, His work till date has attracted attention and the electorate has been impressed by his work. He does not add to pander to the religious sensibilities.
The much hyped trade was given a go by. The joint declaration was a squib. It was an expression of pious hopes of future nuclear deals, increased interaction of ideas on terror containment and enhanced trade. The only positive, if you want to be charitable result was to take up a feasibility study. And this could have been achieved by a high level official visit.
I was really upset that the prime Minister was not accorded all respect due to him. He was not received at Mumbai by any senior central ( Federal) or provincial minister. Either a senior minister from Delhi should have come, or at least the Chief Minister of Maharashtra should have received him. One has just to recollect that when President Bush visited India, the reception committee was virtual who’s who of India. Again, where were the ceremonial state banquets? Not a single leading newspaper made his trip top news. It was as if a person of no consequence is visiting India. I would have thought more media coverage.
On the whole the trip might be an ego boost, possibly an increase of 0.05% in votes, but was as a trade booster it was not a real achievement; and as a state trip, it was a fiasco.

and i also read how some very seriously "mentally disturbed" types of Media persons wrote mostly negative reports..bringing in Air India crash..1984 massacres (BY SIKHS !!) etc etc..but then I was glad to note that nearly 99% of Readers comments put these bigots in their place by putting Facts up front...meaning the Ordinary Canadian Citizen is well aware of what really happened and that Sikhs are NOT what they are made out to be...
no politician should be allowed into a place of worship. period. they should be asked to sit outside patiently or better yet tie them to a tree in the shade with a bowl of water.
