We have an orders database that runs over a network.

What I would like is the ability to automatically insert the ID of the
computer when ever a new record is entered and then lock that field so when
the order is viewed later, it is obvious which terminal entered the order.

    Any ideas?

regards and thanking you all in anticipation as always
