Puneet Singh Lamba veer ji wonderful. Thank you.

I am not familiar with the Java stuff. But can I just take your presentation and make changes to make a presentation on a different subject.

I have some Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji projects in mind that need imagery, media, etc as part of a rich tool to help people keep the context in understanding Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The people older have context through living in Punjab of olden days, but the new generation is going to start losing this context in times to come. So simply to help all.

This will be 1430 presentations where each presentation will cover one page of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

    Any comments!

    Sat Sri Akal.

Sounds ambitious. Perhaps start with japji, which is the essence of the Guru Granth?

    Best wishes for your project.

    Keep smiling!

Veer I have draft translated the following already,

    • Japji Sahib
    • Rehraas Sahib
    • Kirtan Sohila
    • Sukhmani Sahib
    • Salok Sheikh Farid ji
The part I was asking you about was that their are references in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to birds, animals, scenery, constructs. So the object being to simply embellish the translations with these images so that readers can visually recognize some of the nuances. Translation is tough but this part is actually piece of cake. One simply needs to identify what is referenced on each page and then provide visual references page by page. I can identify the elements with great ease and speed. Complete translation can continue much longer time frames on its own.

Look for example under Albums and Narayanjot Kaur ji's media in the form of "Birds of Gurbani", "Animals in Gurbani", and so on.

    Sat Sri Akal.

I understand. Yes, having a picture or two on each slide will surely make the reading experience more enjoyable.

    Best wishes.

Very easy, my friend. You just need a site to host the slide show.

    Dear Friends,

In case you're having trouble viewing the slide show, please try the following and let me know in case it still does not work for you.

    1. Make sure you're using the arrow keys or your keyboard to navigate the slide show.

    2. Make sure you're using a browser other than Internet Explorer (IE). IE does not have very good JavaScript support. I would recommend Chrome or Firefox instead. These newer browsers will also give you a much improved experience on most other web sites.

    Thanks for watching,

    Puneet

Just found out the hard way that the reactive content does work on IE9. But had to uninstall IE9 to get Google Chrome working again!

Friends, let me know if you experience problems viewing the deck so that I can work on fixing the issues. I noticed that the latest version of Chrome doesn't display HTML tables properly on the potpourri slides (but works fine on Firefox and IE, and was working fine on the previous version of Chrome, so I think it is a Chrome issue). Happy viewing!
