Exclusive use message and Adobe Acrobat 7

Since installing Adobe Acrobat 7 (Acrobat 6 was previously installed with no
problems) the warning message "You do not have exclusive use of the database
at this time..." comes up when the database is opened while anyone else is
also in it. Not making changes to the database. The database is only opening
up at this stage. This message appears 30 odd times in a row. Clicking Ok
eventually lets you into the database, which then functions normally.

Adobe were contacted and have now effectively washed their hands of the
matter. Their best suggestion was to load the database to a local drive and
try and replicate the problem. Of course this didn't prove anything, because
no one else can have the database open without a network connection. As the
problem only appears with the network involved Adobe blame Microsoft.

Has anyone else seen a similar problem and/or have a suggestion how to get
Access 2003 and Acrobat 7 to coexist?

Since you're here... we have a small favor to ask...

More people are visiting & reading SPN than ever but far fewer are paying to sustain it. Advertising revenues across the online media have fallen fast. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Donating to SPN's is vote for free speech, for diversity of opinions, for the right of the people to stand up to religious bigotry. Without any affiliation to any organization, this constant struggle takes a lot of hard work to sustain as we entirely depend on the contributions of our esteemed writers/readers. We do it because we believe our perspective matters – because it might well be your perspective, too... Fund our efforts and together we can keep the world informed about the real Sikh Sikhi Sikhism. If everyone who writes or reads our content, who likes it, helps us to pay for it, our future would be much more secure. Every Contribution Matters, Contribute Generously!
