    Hi,

I would like to evaluate a Access97 Developer edition.
Can someone tell me where to download evaluation version.

We are currently developing in Access 97 (licenced), and planning to migrate
to development edition to compile code.

    Thanx!

There is no evaluation copy of A97 Developer Edition.

And A97 is out of support, so there is no copy of
    A97 Developer Edition at all

But you don't need the Developer Edition to make
    an MDE.

And the Developer Edition does not let you make an
    EXE or anything else.

All the Developer Edition had was a royalty free
run-time licence for Access, so that your users did
not have to buy Access97 or Office Pro.

The Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition Tools (ODE) gives you the licence
to distribute the runtime installation of Access with your solutions.

There is absolutely no need to evaluate it as Access 97 does everything you
already need including compiling your code and creating MDE format files.

You may however have difficulty purchaseing a legal copy of the ODE as it
about 10 years since it was first available.

If you do not need to distribute runtime installations you do not need the
    ODE.
