    I have an MS Access application which uses a form showing data in
    Continuous Forms format.

    I have a control called txtUseSMC which is returning a small int value
    from a linked SQL Server table of either
    1 or 0.

    Based on this value I want to be able to display either a Yes (for 1)
    or a No (for 0) in the text box next to txtUseSMC.

    However I am struggling as to which event to put this code into. I
    tried putting it into the form_current it changes all the values.

    I also tried the same for the form_load but that wouldnt work

    How can i capture the value of txtUseSMC on each row of my continous
    form?

    many thanks

    Have you tried simply create an unbound textbox and setting the format to
    yes/no
    This will give
    1 = Yes
    0 = No

    The only problem I can see would be if you don't gve the yes or no some form
    of relational link to the main form data to ensure the yes/no are on the
    right forms

    I tried doing that with the text box....but the values wouldnt change
    from record to record

    ie record 1 : txtUseSMC = 1 text1 = 0
    ie record 2 : txtUseSMC = 1 text1 = 0
    ie record 3 : txtUseSMC = 1 text1 = 0
