    Hi,
I have 2 linked tables that describe quiz templates, someting like
    1. table QuizTemplateHeaders (fields quizTemplateID, quizTemplateTitle ...)
    2. table QuizQuestions (fields questionTemplateID, quizTemplateID,
    questionTemplateLabel, ...)

Before the user can fill a quiz, I have to duplicate the template structure
for a chosen quiz template into 2 other similar tables:
    1. table QuizActualHeaders (fields quizActualID, quizActualTitle ...)
    2. table QuizActualQuestions (fields questionActualID, quizActualID,
    questionActualLabel, questionActualAnswer..)

I want to duplicate, not link to, the template tables.

Now how can I safely duplicate this tree structure? I guess this boils down
    to
    1. duplicate the header (easy)
    2. then being able to get the newly created quizActualID (how?)
    3. the create and attach records in the QuizActualQuestions table (easy)

    hanks for the help
