IN the database that I'm creating, each product and category has its own
unique ID number instead of an autonumber for the primary key. They are in
the form of AA111. Is there anyway that I can set up the field properties so
when entering data the next number in the sequence is automatically entered,
ie, I'm enter data and its number is AA001. When I hit enter or tab to move
to the next row, it automatically fills in AA002. Any information would be
    helpful.
    Thanks

Create a query to find the Max of that field. In your data entry form have a
hidden text field of the query. Then set default of your field to the hidden
    field plus one.
