I 've 2 text boxes that each have a value of 1-3 so if I select 2 1st box
and 1 in 2nd box I get my answer of 3. My issue is I have a check box that is
used if the account is a repeat and if yes then it needs to mulitply my
answer by 10 or 20 points so now instead of 3 it could be 30 or 60. how can I
create a IIF statement that will take the check box selection. Thanks

What are the names of the check box and all three text boxes, and what are
the conditions when the multiplier should be 10 and when it should be 20?
With that information, perhaps someone can be of help.

Larry the name of the comboboxes and checkbox is as follows..
"[risk]" ," [resolution] ","[status code]" and the checkbox "[REPEAT]"
    The following is an example:
    I select the [status code] (I.E. SCE,PIF,SIF,JDE...) I then select a number
from [risk] lets say a 2..then I select a number from [resolution] lets say 3
then the overall score for this account is 5.. But if the account is a
repeat then we must mulitply the account with a 10 or 20 so now the score is
50 or 100. What will drive the 10 or 20 is the status code they have three
classifications if the [repeat] checkbox is selected .....For example
SCE=P That means if [repeat] check box is selected then its a 10
PIF=R That means if [repeat] check box is selected then its a 20
JDE= NULL That means if [repeat]check box is selected then we don't multply
    and score stays at 5....
Thanks for your assitance hopefully somebody can assist me how to create a
    iif statement

OK, now I need some additional information: it appears you can use the
[status code] combobox to select one of the codes "(I.E.
SCE,PIF,SIF,JDE...)". What I don't see is any way to set the value as you
later refer "SCE = P", or "PIF = R", or "JDE = NULL". Remember you have the
database in front of you, and know what is there and what you expect; you
have to explain all the pertinet information to us.

    Larry,
What I was thinking if it was possble to create a unbound text box that
would provide me with a -1 when the repeat check box is selected(DONE THAT).
then create a dependant (base on the status code selected )list box that
would select SCE R 10 or PIF P=20 and since its depeandant it would only take
into consideration if [REPEAT] check box was selected ...Visual
    [STATUS CODE]=SCE [STATUS CODE]= SCE
    [RISK] = 2 [RISK] =2
    [RES]=2 [RES] = 2
    [REPEAT CHECKBOX]= NULL [REPEAT]CHECK BOK= YES
[UNBOUNDBOX]=NULL UNBOUNDBOX]=-1 would drive the dependant
10 or 20 depends what i would have a col set at for that status code
    sorry for the book
