I have deleted some unwanted databases from my documents and they still exist
in the "Open Recent Database" when selected a deleted or moved database it
says "Could not find file '%path%\DeletedDatabase.accdb'." This program
should give the option to remove databases from this list if they have been
    deleted or moved.

Try this. Start by creating a fresh new blank database, and then use the
file import / get information feature and point to your existing .mdb file.
Select all the elements from your existing access file (i.e., all tables,
queries, forms, reports, pages, macros, modules, etc.) , and import them
into your blank database. See if that does it! If so, just delete your old
..mdb file and rename your new .mdb file.

Re: Access2007 Beta12.0.4017.1003 clear recent databases if delete

Let me see if I can explain the problem a little more clearly.

When Access 2007 Beta2 (v12.0.4017.1003) opens the first screen that is
displayed is "Getting Started with Microsoft Office Access" and on the right
hand side of this screen is a list of Recently Opened Databases. Some of the
Databases on this list have been deleted from their saved location thus
making these links in the recently opened databases list, broken links. The
M$ Access 2007 program should have a feature that will automatically remove
or fix these broken links in the "Open Recent Database" list.

As a comparison I use M$ Visual Studio 2005 Standard. When a project folder
has been deleted from the saved location (by default %userprofile%\My
Documents\Microsoft Visual Studio 2005\Projects) and that project is selected
in the "Recent Projects" list, a message box appears and asks if you would
like to remove this project from the "Recent Projects" list since it has been
moved or deleted from its original location.

I would like to see this feature implemented in Access 2007.
