    Hi,

I currently have an ODBC connection set up with a MYSQL database that’s
tables are linked to Microsoft Access. The main reason for doing this is
because I want to use the reporting feature of Access.

I am looking at making these reports available through a web interface, but
so far have been unsuccessful. All I can do is export a report as an HTML
file, but the reports this process achieves, will not be current with any
update that has occurred on the MYSQL database. I need to find a way of
presenting these access reports to a user that are current and are up to date
with all operations on the database, in a web interface environment.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

There is (or was) a KB example of using Automation in web page to
    create reports in snapshot format.

There used to be a snapshot active x object that you could embed
in a web page, so that you could view a snapshot file from your web
    server.

There used to be a commercial product that seemed to be a copy
of the KB article where Access was running on a web server,
and web request queued report requests in a table, which the
Access application read and created snapshot files.

Not enormously robust, because Access is not designed to be
used without an interactive user, but the version we made
worked for us. We ran a little 'click ok' app to clear any
error messages that Access threw up.
