I have installed Access converter but still when i open my XP mdb it prompts
me to either convert it into access 2003 or open as read only.should not this
could automatically convert older mdb file to new access 2003 file without
    prompting to user

Simply installing the converter doesn't do anything: you need to run it
against the MDB files to be converted.

Be aware, though, that conversion isn't always a slam-dunk: sometimes things
will not convert without manual intervention. I don't think it's reasonable
to expect that you can simply convert the applications and hand them to the
users without doing some testing first.
