    Hello,

I have an Access 97 application running on an old Windows ME machine
which I would like to move into a Windows XP environment.

Are there any known issues relating to such a transfer?

If I have Access 2003 installed on the XP machine, could potential
    conflicts occur?

If I do not have Access 2003 installed, will an Access 97 runtime run
    smoothly on XP?

    Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Nuno

I have Access 97 and Access 2003 both installed on my WinXP (Home edition)
SP2 laptop, and have never experienced any issues.

There's no reason why the runtime shouldn't work: the runtime and developer
editions are actually the same executable, with the runtime version locked
down by the addition of (literally) hundreds of registry entries. (Of
course, packaging applications to distribute the runtime is often an issue,
and, depending on how the Access 97 application was written, it's entirely
possible that you'll run into problems with the References collection that
you will be unable to resolve through the runtime)
