ਸਲੋਕੁ ॥ Salok. Salok (Core theme of eight sabads/hymns in the Astpadi) ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਜਨ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰ ॥ਨਾਨਕ ਰਚਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਚੀ ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ॥੧॥ Usṯaṯ karahi anek jan anṯ na pārāvār.Nānak racẖnā parabẖ racẖī baho biḏẖ anik parkār. ||1|| In the salok, Guru ji state that many try to describe the creator but such is limitless. The creator creates with a variety of methods and of different types. ਅਸਟਪਦੀ॥ Asatpaḏī. Eight stanzas hymn ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਖਾਣੀ ਅਰੁ ਖੰਡ ॥ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਅਕਾਸ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ॥ Ka▫ī kot kẖāṇī ar kẖand.Ka▫ī kot akās barahmand. Many million created through methods of life in continents. Many million skies and celestial systems. ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਹੋਏ ਅਵਤਾਰ ॥ਕਈ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਕੀਨੋ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ॥ Ka▫ī kot ho▫e avṯār.Ka▫ī jugaṯ kīno bisthār. Many million are so created. Many methods employed in creation. ਕਈ ਬਾਰ ਪਸਰਿਓ ਪਾਸਾਰ ॥ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਇਕੁ ਏਕੰਕਾਰ ॥ Ka▫ī bār pasri▫o pāsār.Saḏā saḏā ik ekankār. Many an iterations of creation. Forever and ever as one creator and only one. ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਿ ॥ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਤਿ ॥ Ka▫ī kot kīne baho bẖāṯ.Parabẖ ṯe ho▫e parabẖ māhi samāṯ. Many million created of different varieties. From the creator such merge back with the creator. ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਇ ॥ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੭॥ Ŧā kā anṯ na jānai ko▫e.Āpe āp Nānak parabẖ so▫e. ||7|| No one knows the end of such. Nanak, by self and of self is such creator. Quote: ESSENCE: In the salok, Guru ji state that many try to describe the creator but such is limitless. Guru Arjan Dev ji in Astpadi 10, 7th sabad describe the goings on of creation through one creator. Many millions created of skies and celestial systems, much iteration in creation by only one creator, many millions of varieties merging back into the creator.
Guru ji conclude the end of such creator cannot be defined as such creator is by self of self.
