I looked at as many of these as I could take. I see the people living - if it can be called living - in this situation. For us in Delhi it was a few hours, a few days. For these people a lifetime. The mind boggles.

Yet another pressing, righteous, necessary Cause. It is just too much. The weight of too many Causes is weighing me down. I am just too tired. Then I see the headless body of a young child, the hand of a fetus emerging from the dead mother's abdomen.

It seems our capacity for hurting each other is endless. How does one keep oneself from giving in to despair? We Sikhs have a history of facing and overcoming impossible situations. What to do with the added weight of this one.
