I find it deeply disturbing that anyone would suggest it inappropriate to question Sikhism. Imagine if Guru Nanak never questioned Islam or hinduism. Religion evolves with time. To not acknowledge or allow this notion reminds me of the Taliban. I thought we looked to Gurbani to answer our questions in life. How can we get answers if we can't ask questions.

Well, before we answer this question.. I wanna know what is the defination of RELIGION for us?

Is it something we follow because it is shoved down our throat by our folks?

Is it something we copy when we see other friends do that same and goto prayers or help out in the Gurdawara?

Is it something that connects us in mind and soul with a higher being.. whoever it might be(Allah or Guru)?

Do we question traditions and try to understand the logic and principal behing them? or do we blindly follow whatever we are told?

I have been reading the views of various participants for sometime & now want to say that parents are to blame for some extent but not the whole since self motivation is also something to be taken into consideration.
Today films is becoming religion for the youth & film personalities their gurus, thanks to the media boom. I think it is becoming necessity day by day to launch such channels which propagate views of Sikhism & its great history about which we have liven by. I mean to see towards the popular media to spread our Gurus teachings. Some of them do exist like Amritbani radio in UK etc.

As regards the above wording I don't understand what the person wants to convey by saying so "is something lacking in our Sikh boys or something special in Muslim boys for whom girls want to hang up."

Sikh girls have not been taken by muslims for first time. Since Ahmad Shah abad ali time Sikh girls have been going into muslims possession by some means or other force or allurment.

Pakis also have the gut to challenge the high and mighty USA.

So if you love your girls and want them to sleep with you and not some smart muslim . Do some thing testosteronic Sikh would do .

say like capture Osama bin laden , get nobel prizes and have a critical number of men to prevent getting wiped out from this planet.

I f the writer wants Sikh youth to become likes of sharukkhan and amir khan then as understand is that he is mistaken here

both of them are muslims in name ,they show no sign of being muslim in anyway and i bet that if poll asking for the religion of these two great personalities is conducted in india huge no might poll them as hindu

so if writer wants sikhs aswell to be like them as hinduised Sikh then many are already in industry and will going

well the writer might have some secret access to th eunderground information i think otherwise I havent witnessed this duel where pakistan challenged USA . well the news that i could appreciate was that pakistan was so scared of wrath of usa that they turned their back to thier islamic brothers in both afghan and iraq and well known in international community as fathful dog of usa

And just to mention if you havent come accross any pakistani personally then do so and you know who how they are ashamed of their country and their relations with USA as i have many collegues working with me from pakistan
The writer is so enthusiastic in prasing muslim that he forgot that punjab is indian state and pakistan is a country and their is no sense of comparing the cm of punjab with mushraf

Now the thhings that i could appreciate were

They removed sikhs from their homeland and killed and pushed them to this side of border and main reason of which was failure of Sikh leaders to recognise the cunningnessand evilmindedness of indian nationaliest leaders inspite of long history of back stabing by them in the Sikh Hostory
Anyway sikhs accept this as well as a will of AKAL as everything that happens in this world

the second thing i could appreciate was the fast grwing number of muslim due to high fertility rate of muslims and lowest fertility rate of sikhs in india

well this thing concerns me as well but the solutions are few in the mordern society ehere trend is for small familied which has their own advantages but for people who can afford to have more kids is should be encouraged
Atleast if sikhs in india stop killing there unborn daughters the situation could be much better
