How do you correct fold (the diaganol fold or poni) for a single patti turban??

I'd like my turban to be neat and compact - a single(not a double patti), but I can't get the fold right.

so basically what I do is I just fold it in half and half again( a rectangular sort of fold) and it comes out neat sometimes, sometimes it doesn't - but the shape just doesn't look right.

I just can't get the single patti fold right - even if I tie it to a door knob, it still doesn't work out right and opens up as I'm tying it.

the material I use is Rubia - should I be using something else?

You can try ironing your turban if you want to get it neat.
Once you have rolled it up (puni) then gather it up, otherwise it will unroll.

With the fold in half and half again, here's a video how to put it on properly.

Both do puni in the start so you can get an idea.
