In kabeers time or the early days , there was concept of Sati .

Kabeer might have used words male and female as metaphor something else.

From the second line He has mentioned four males and two females.
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=5656

Out of four two might be husbans of two females and other two might be the guys who fell in love with the two females.
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=5656

When the one of the husband would have died , one female got automatically satied ie dead.

so , one died two were dead .

similarly , when two husbands died two females were satied , so

two died and four were dead .

But when all the four were dead , then the other two guys might have got the wind of their beloved's death , so they also suicided .

So, Ultimately , when four died six were dead.

Then das will put what as per Scholars have understood and what Das has found.

gurmat is alway anti to ego and onece haumai is gone we are one with Akal.
One is killed two die,Two are dead then four die and if four are dead then two female gender also dies.

As per Scholars.

If we kill ego(one) our love and hatread(two)Die.
if we kille ego and pride(our mind gets killeed) so by these two we get Ego,mind,love and hatred deing.
When these four are killed then Thrist(Trishna) and Hope(Asha) also die.

As per Das it is in that way that just if we killl one two die.by death of two four die and by death of four two female gender also die.
so one has to be kiled.
ie
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=5656

Ego is killed.Anger also dies with it(making it two) after two dies then other two Attachment(moh) and Greed(note that lust is greed for sexual pleasure) also die(making it four).
when four are dead then we have two female gender ie Jealousy(Irsha/Hasad) and Hath(illogical stubornes/illogical stuborness/Dheethtta) also deing.Making it total six but just by killing ego.

Please have a look at the attachment. This is what I found in Mahan Kosh. I hope this explanation is sufficient.
