| | | | | Installing religious books at insitutes of learning The opening of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehghar Sahib, is a great foot forward for the people of Punjab, and particularly the Sikhs.
The main focus would be research, study of world regions, civilizations, and cultures, besides social sciences, humanities, pure sciences, nanotechnology etc. Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/sikh-sikhi-sikhism/39122-installing-religious-books-at-insitutes-learning.htmlReference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=39122

I can think of several areas where some religious zealot types may clash with academic research. | | The following member appreciates Randip Singh Ji for the above message. | |

| | | | | Re: Installing religious books at insitutes of learning I don't think there is any harm in keeping religious literature in libraries of academic institutions as long as such literature is kept in sections of the library clearly marked as 'fiction'. |

So it is hoped that people from all over the world will be converging here to do their research.
Why do we want it to confine the institute to be only of the Sikhs, by the Sikhs and for the Sikhs?
As for those students who want to do Sangat, this complex is surrounded by gurdwaras. |
