"SAT SRI AKAAL"

"Focus" or "Surat"

This is experience of "SIXTH" sense.

Everyone has read/experienced five senses.

Most Beloved Five

(Sex/Food/Security/Relation/Ego)

One Doesn't leave these even for second, even when we physically

go "GURU's" Dwara

Mind is with beloved senses

"GURU'S BANI" Say about sixth sense "Focus" or "Surat"

or

"Imaginative Sense"

Five senses causes conflict

Sex Food Security Relation Ego

These senses try to set priority causing major conflict in straight path

of Mind Speech and Body

"Sixth" sense is "Imaginative" or "Surat" or "Focus"

One may

have eyes, and can read/write "GURU's BANI"

have ears, and can listen/speak "GURU's BANI"

but without evoking " imaginative sense "

one can not realise "GURU's BANI"

oh the contrary

the person may be blind/ deaf/ dumb

but his "imaginative sense" is evoked

still one can realise "GURU's BANI"

Its just like

one can read/write apple
one can speak/listen apple

but he has never "Focused" on "Apple"

Say that one can to get the apple.

Once One's mind has seen the apple and his "imaginative mind" has captured it's image

One can describe apple

or

One may be blind but
"Imaginative Sense"

evoked

explain geometry, colour, one can get the apple

If one word is so difficult How the whole sacred book

without evoking "imaginative sense" to "GURU's BANI"

If one cannot imagine, one can not achieve

Reference from the sacred book

our beloved "GURU's" BANI

One read "SURAT" as "Imaginative Sense"

mannai surat hovai man buDh.
The faithful have intuitive awareness and intelligence.

saalaahee saalaahi aytee surat na paa-ee-aa.
The praisers praise the Lord, but they do not obtain intuitive understanding
tithai gharhee-ai surat mat man buDh.
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/sikh-sikhi-sikhism/37258-surat-or-imaginative-sense.html
The intuitive consciousness, intellect and understanding of the mind are shaped there.

How to get "Imaginative Sense" evoked than "Formed" and merge my thought with "GURU's" thought.

sabh surtee mil surat kamaa-ee.
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=37258
All the intuitives met and practiced intuitive meditation.
jotee jot milaa-ee-ai surtee surat sanjog.
When one's light merges into the Light, and one's intuitive consciousness is joined with the Intuitive Consciousness,
But Imaginative Sense is evoked

faahee surat malookee vays.
I make plans to trap others, although I appear gentle.
But Imaginative Sense is planning bad
aykaa surat jaytay hai jee-a.
There is one awareness among all created beings.
surat vihoonaa ko-ay na kee-a.
None have been created without this awareness.
Its there with each one but not evoked and formed

As conclusion
If one is not getting feel of "GURU's BANI" in the

"imaginative sense" or "Surat" is not attached while reading or listening
One is physically present

might be listeing or speaking
might be reading or writting

But Imaginative Mind is "ELSEWHERE"

One can leave friends, relative, his body, but not his "man" "mat"

Attach "Surat" while writting listening

than only one is "focused"

after getting "focused" one can imbibe "GURU's" BANI in mind
and form "GURU's" mat.
Body is slave of Mat.
Action will definetely improve.

ravneet_sb ji

Sometimes the mind divides? And sometimes it collects, brings together, creates a whole fabric?

This is a fascinating article you have posted here. Something an artist, musician or philosopher would find very intriguing. Thanks

I always thought there were only two ways to enlightenment, to have surat, or to go down the road of having the crap kicked out of you by life, until experience made you really understand, I think surat would have left me less battle scarred, but I am not sure some of us have any choice in the matter, great post

Harry ji,

Guru Fateh.

Or perhaps the battle scars led you towards the enlightenment of Surat.

Tejwantji

You are quite correct, I have neither the energy, strength, time or inclination to keep sticking my head up for a good kicking, nothing seems to be worth getting a good kicking for, there was a time when the prospect of getting a good kicking actually heightened the whole eperience, but I am older now.....

There are no thrills, but then there is little fear, certainly, one could argue that the pleasures I enjoyed were not even pleasurable, they just dulled the immense fear I always carried with me, yes, it is a good time for Surat........

Dear Chinu,

SAT SRI AKAAL,

All five play in one's life,

at 25 "I" got spark and realised five and "learning" or "Sikh" way of life was initiated.

at 32 "I" got flame with these five.

at 39 these are oil for "SURAT"
which again attaches one to "GURU's BANI"

Sikhi, Guru Sikhya, Gurmat Vichar

Way to "HAPPINESS" through "WISDOM" of "GURU's BANI"

Waheguru Ji Ki Khalsa
Waheguru Ji Ki HAteh

Ravneet ji,
Once... An elephant sat down and had a cup of tea. "Thats better" he said. Meanwhile Noddy was playing table tennis with his pet dragon. But the fairies didn't mind!

.....will that do?
