but they used the Sikh scriptures a lot and quoted the gurus of Sikhs...about needing a living guru and meditation and vegetarian diet.

Always wanted to aquaint myself with what the Sikh's thought of this movement (Radhasoami faith or Sant Mat) from their perspective. We heard that the Sikhs were not understanding their Adi Granth correctly...about the need for a living Saint for initiation into the Sound Current to meditate and all of that. So, please, what is the Sikh side of this story?

can u please clarify what part of the Adi granth we sikhs are not understanding that tells that we shud have a living guru?

The Radhaswami masters and their offshoots such as Kirpal Singh et al use the Guru Granth Sahib to attract followers from both Sikhism and from other religions. They have no teachings of their own and bend the meaning of Gurbani to suit their own ends. Radhaswami owe their origin to a Hindu from Agra who was banned from singing Kirtan at the Mai Than Gurdwara in Agra because he used to smoke. Each offshoot considers itself to the 'true' Radhaswami, the biggest offshoot from Beas in Panjab which was started by Sarwan Singh is called a 'fake' by the original Radhaswamis from Agra.

Sikhs have a long history of Katha or explanation of the Guru Granth Sahib. Many translations are available of the Guru Granth Sahib so it is doubtful that the Radhaswamis know what Gurbani means and the Sikhs do not
